With the constitution of the profession-overlapping Dairy Association of Catalonia (ALLIC) On January 26th, 1.988. The Dairy, Stock and Industrial Sector signed a comprising agreement that includes among other objectives the creation of a professional-overlapping Dairy Laboratory .

So in June 1.993 the laboratory was opened in some departments of the building of Cabrils's Agrarian Laboratory. Nevertheless, commissioning and staff contracting started by the end of February 1.994 .

The first analyses were carried out in order to control the quality of the milk produced in the country's cattle breeding. During the following year milk controls of every single cow were carried out.

Other services included control of mastitis (tank and panel), and analyses of dairy products (Cheeses, curd cheese, heat treated milk, . ), and water.
